Name Our Newsletter contest!

Newsletter title competition!

Our newsletter editor, Sara Hayden, thought it would be nice to have an official title for our
SMCGS Newsletter.  Can you suggest something which would reflect our California/Bay Area interests, or perhaps our SIGs, or our library at CaƱada College?  Something special about San Mateo and its heritage?

The San Mateo Historical Society journal is called "La Peninsula".  How about "La Redwood City Mud Flats"? or "Digital Diggings"?  No?  Roots Cellar and Der Blumenbaum are already taken.

I'm sure you can come up with something suitable for us.  Post your answers here in "comments" or send them to publications@smcgs.org.

Las Pulgas Muertos

That should be "Las Pulgas Muertas"! Clever!

Another suggestion: "By the Bay"

From Barbara Ebel:
Peninsula Postings
Peninsula something maybe.

From Rose Jackson:
What a fun idea to name the newsletter! I had an idea to honor the local indigenous people that were here long before us on the land we call San Mateo County. The living beings that have given centuries of inhabitants shade and shelter and made life here possible for every generation of San Mateans. Are you thinking of doing a poll and letting people vote?
Sequoia
Thanks for asking!

From Becky -
Somehow I like the word “connect” or “Connections”.

From Maggie -
Bridging the gaps?
Peninsula connections?
The people you meet?

From Chris Green -

I think the Newsletter should have a new title. How about San Mateo County Genealogy Society Journal?

I like Relatively Speaking, with a subtitle such as Newsletter of the San Mateo County Genealogical Society.
